The human ear is composed of the inner ear, middle ear, and the outer ear. Ear infection can attack any of these parts and one part can usually infect the others. There are two main types of ear infection - otitis media and otitis externa. Otitis media is the infection of the middle ear, found mainly among infants and children.

Boil 3-4 cloves of Garlic in some water. Mash them and add a pinch of salt. Wrap this poultice in a flannel or woolen cloth and place on the aching ear.

Perforate a piece of garlic and pour the juice in the ear. Garlic being a natural antibiotic will help to take the pain away. Wash your hands routinely. Avoid touching nose and eyes.

Yawning moves the muscle that bares the eustachian tube even good than chewing gum or sucking on mints. Take vitamin C to heave your immune system, it will help you to combat infection. Warm up an oven-safe plate, wrap it in a towel, and rest your aching ear right on it. With the help of a dropper, pour warm mineral oil to soothe a sore ear.
