Migraines revert at intervals of varying length. Some people have attacks various times a month; others have less than one a year. Cluster headaches are non-pulsating and usually are felt on one side of the head behind an eye.

Cluster headaches are a exceptional type of primary headache, affecting 0.1% of the population. An estimated 85% of cluster headache bearers are men. The average span of cluster headache sufferers is 28-30 years, though headaches may begin in childhood.

Home Remedies for Headache

  • Apply neem powder mildly on your forehead. Drink plenty of fluids, but avoid alcohol and caffeine.
  • Breathing exercises are a known remedy for headaches.
  • Apply an ice pack to the painful area of your head. Demit smoking and avoid smoke-filled rooms.
  • Avoid bright light as it can result to squinting which can lead to headahces.
  • For a sinus headache, eat a jalapeno pepper as quick as possible.
  • Apply a paste of freshly ground clay or freshly ground sandalwood to the forehead, let dry, rub off by hand and wash.
  • Massage forehead, temples, neck and shoulder muscles, assuring to use a little oil to prevent chafing and burning.
  • The seeds of Bishop's Weed (Ajwain) are useful in the treatment of headache and stress.
