Dry and Peeling Skin Care Tips


Dry skin means that the skin has less water in it than needed. This can be because of the environment that dries the skin and certain disorders such as ithyosis, psoriasis, etc. Dry peeling skin can be extremely painful. Dry, peeling skin on the bottom of the foot is usually the only sign of a chronic athlete's foot infection. Environmental variations and the daily use of a topical antifungal can alleviate the symptoms of cracking and dryness. Medical conditions are some of the practicable causes of Peeling skin.

Eczema causes chronic skin rash which furtherance to skin inflammation and may lead to skin peeling. Vitamin A overdose shows signs of skin peeling. Erythroderma cause thickening and flaking of the skin. This skin condition is made worse by stress.

There is no cure for this skin condition only control. For people with severe disease topical PUVA is used. For dry skin and peeling skin types, deep moisturising products are needed. Apply moisturizer instantly after bathing, to seal in remaining moisture.

Dry and Peeling Skin Treatment Tips

1. Drinking lots of water is one remedy for dry skin

2. Try mild cleansers or mild soaps if you must use a soap or cleanser. Use bath oils and moisturizers daily. Use a humidifier if the air is dry.

3. Fatty acids are particularly important to people with dry skin. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids.

4. Eat high-fiber snacks like raw nuts, raw seeds, and dried fruit, such as dates, and figs.

5. Use bath oils and moisturizers, especially coconut oil, at least daily.

6. Avoid using any commercial soap. And always touch your face gently.

7. Hot water kills more skin cells.

8. Natural fibers such as cotton and silk feel wonderful and allow your skin to breathe.
