Pregnancy Information - A Guide to Early Pregnancy


Pregnancy is the term used to define when a woman has a growing fetus inside of her. In most cases, the fetus grows in the uterus. When a women becomes pregnant, her body begins to secrete a hormone called hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). This hormone provides the positive outcomes on both urine and blood based tests.

Human pregnancy finales about 40 weeks, or just more than 9 months, from the commencement of the last menstrual period to childbirth. In a pregnancy, there can be multiple gestations (for instance, in the case of twins, or triplets). The primary sign of pregnancy is missing one or more consecutive menstrual periods.

Most women experience menstrual irregularities which may cause missed periods, women who miss a period should see their health care provider to find out if they are pregnant or whether there is another health complication. There's no requirement to stop exercising during your pregnancy, as long as you're careful and you do suitable sports. A bit of gentle exercise combined with a good diet will help you feel more like blooming mum-to-be than beached whale.

Some conditions may cause a high-risk pregnancy. First is Preeclampsia and Eclampsia and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (or gestational diabetes) is a type of diabetes that only pregnant women get. One is Preeclampsia and Eclampsia and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (or gestational diabetes) is a type of diabetes which only pregnant women get.

If a woman gets diabetes during her pregnnancy, but never had it before, then she has gestational diabetes. HIV/AIDS kills or attacks cells of the body's immune system, precociously destroying the body's ability to fight infections and certain cancers. The term AIDS applies to the most progressive stages of HIV infection.

Preterm Labor is labor that starts before 37 weeks of pregnancy. Because the baby is not fully developed at this time, it may not be able to survive outside the womb. Prenatal care is the care woman gets during a pregnancy. Getting early and routine prenatal care is essential for the health of both mother and the developing baby.

Symptoms of Early pregnancy

1. Tender swollen breasts are one early symptom.

2. Nausea and morning sickness

3. Frequent urination.

4. Headache and tiredness affects the majority of women at any stage during pregnancy.

5. Hormonal changes can affect the digestive system and cause constipation.

6. Mood swings are also common symptoms in early pregnancy.

Pracaution of pregnancy periods

1. Don't smoke cigarettes during pregnancy.

2. Do not get into hot tubs.

3. Don't drink more than 2 cups of coffee per day.

4. Do not travel the last month of pregnancy.
